It has invested in research to extend the capability of these dosage forms, resulting in one of the leading formularies of products available today. This facility fully complies with the Food and Drugs Authorities of India (FDA) Code of Good Manufacturing Practice a standard of manufacturing excellence recognized around the world for its stringent adherence to the World Health Organization (WHO) maintained standard.
Lactose has also been awarded with the prestigious status of ISO9001: 2000 by TUV Germany. The company enjoys a prominent position in pharmaceutical, nutraceuticals and health food markets. Included in this range are tablets, coated / film coated and uncoated; capsules, liquids, creams, powders and ointments. Our facility offers customers the option of having the products produced in bulk or packaged according to their requirements.
All raw materials and packaging materials are received into Lactose through the Receiving and Quarantine area. These materials are held here until they have been approved through Lactose's laboratory to ensure compliance with specification, quality and purity. Once an item is approved by the laboratory, it is marked with a distinctive Approved / Released Label and then released from Quarantine for use in the facility.
Lactose has five individual dispensaries, each climate controlled with co-ordinate materials flow. Computerized scales are used for weighing of ingredients, and are validated daily to ensure a consistently high degree of accuracy. Tabletting was the company's early strength, before expanding into other dosage forms such as capsules, powders, creams, liquids and effervescent tabletting.
It offers a range of tabletting sizes and shapes including standard round tooling, oval shaped tablet tooling caplet and novelty tooling shapes. Lactose is well recognized in this field carrying out all types of coating including solvent, film coating, aqueous film coating, sugar coating and enteric film coating. The coating process is carried out in complete air-conditioned surroundings with extensive moisture and dust control.
It undertakes all forms of packaging to suit the customers' requirements. For specialized packaging the company offers a fully managed service as a result of our good working relationship with other specialized contract packers and we will ensure that your goods are packaged to your complete satisfaction. Besides carrying an detailed inventory of packaging materials, including bottles and cartons, for both bulk supply or finished goods requirements it also provides a separate label inventory management facility, where client's labels are stored and reconciled.
